Thank you for this! This is so refreshing to read - for years I have struggled with a super “all or nothing” attitude toward fitness/diet/habits etc (because of the things you mentioned and how pervasive the every day thing is in wellness circles) and would get really down on myself when I couldn’t stick to something every day. I truly thought I was just bad at routines and it must just be easy for everyone else. Anyway, my therapist gave me the genius advice to try and go with the energy of the day - it has helped me so much and given me permission to have the kind of day I feel like having (when possible). Appreciate your work and looking forward to future substack posts!
